The Six-Day Journey

Each day opens a different part of Himalayan village life.

Day 1

Arrival & Orientation

The journey begins as children arrive in Shankar Dehra and meet their local hosts. After settling in, the group walks through the village together — learning the places where they will live, learn and play for the next five days.

Day 2

Wool & Craft

Children are introduced to traditional wool processing — feeling raw wool in their hands and following its journey to yarn through a supervised, hands-on craft session led with local knowledge holders.

Day 3

Village & Plants

A guided village walk opens up the world of local plants. Children observe how Himalayan communities understand and interact with the natural environment around them — and meet the people who call it home.

Shikari Devi Trek
